Student Visa UK
Description
A UK student visa allows a person to come to the UK for the purpose of studying.
Duration
There is no set duration for a UK student visa, however visas for students in the UK are usually granted for a period of one year and are usually determined by the length of course to be studied.

Eligibility CriteriaCourse of Study
A UK student visa applicant must show that they have been accepted into a course of study at:

a publicly-funded institution of further or higher education (for example a university); or
a bona fide private education institution that maintains satisfactory records of enrolment and attendance for students and offers courses that are leading to qualifications recognised by the appropriate accreditation bodies; or
an independent fee-paying school outside the maintained sector.

And the UK student visa applicant must intend to follow:

a recognised full-time degree course; or
a weekday course at a single institution that involves at least 15 hours of organised daytime study a week; or
a full-time course of study at an independent fee-paying school.

UK student visa applicants must be able to meet the costs of their course and accommodation and the maintenance of themselves and any dependants without undertaking full-time employment or engaging in business or having recourse to public funds.

UK student visa applicants should intend to leave the UK at the end of their studies.

1---> 1st of all you should take an IELTS test in which, you must get minimum of 6.0 bands in all four consecutive modules (Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking).

2---> Get your passport.

3---> On the internet, visit http://www.dfes.org.uk (Dept. of Higher Education in UK's Website) and then go to the list of providers of higher education in UK. Select any university or college & go to it's website for offered courses. Have a look at their minimum entry requirements for admission into your desired course. Apply online or by downloading application forms, filling them appropriately, including application fees in pounds if any, and attach the notarised copies of Academic qualifications’ transcripts. Send these papers to university by a courier or scanned e-mail. Some universities are giving admissions by receiving documents by scanned emails. So ask your institute whether can u do this or not. By sending documents’ scan in email, you can save your high courier expenses.

4---> After reviewing your documents by admission authorities, institute will send you a conditional offer letter and this letter confirms that your place can be reserved as you send them their minimum deposit, which is 1000 pounds. After getting an unconditional offer letter, transfer an amount of 1000 GBP (Minimum Deposit to reserve a place into a selected course in UK refundable in case of visa refusal) to the university's account.

5---> After receiving your sent amount, they will issue an unconditional offer and send those necessary documents to you needed to apply for study visa. Those will be 3 in no.s (one for your record, 2nd to apply for visa & 3rd to show at immigration authorities in Airport of the UK).

6---> Go to nearest Gerry’s / FedEx courier's branch and ask for UK's study visa application form, it is free of cost. Take it to your home and fill it yourself but you can get verbal help from your elders wherever needed and from British High Commission (0800 22000) on telephone, every required field must be filled properly and neatly without any spelling mistakes and overwriting*.

8---> after 1 or 2 weeks of receiving your visa application, you'll be called for an interview to clear some conflicting points in your application and to examine whether you are a genuine student or not. In the BRITISH HIGH COMISSION, if u get through a process of an interview and satisfy the visa officer in this regard, u will get an ENTRY CLEARANCE STICKER ON YOUR PASSPORT after a week of an interview, which you can collect from where you had lodged it (Gerry’s/FedEx’s branch). VISA will be stamped at the time of entry into state at UK's AIRPORT by immigration officer (He has a right to interview you again at the time of entry to check your bonafide intentions but it is very rare), so be prepared for such kind of situations. If not, they will issue u a VISA REFUSAL LETTER in which it will be written that on what grounds, your VISA is refused. Remember that most of the students don’t apply for UK because they seem to be scared of painful process of an interview in which ambassador try to make interview as painless as possible and for this reason, he usually ask some personal questions. So, I recommend you to reply those questions confidently and never get tense, I have written some possible approaches below to such type of interviews. If they have demanded more documents, submit these in appeal of VISA refusal. You will get visa, INSHALLAH.

If you have any further query regarding VISA APPLICATION, don’t hesitate to contact me, British High Commission at http://www.britishhighcommission.org.pk or u can call on toll free no. 0800-22000
