| for search/ibada on night of power (lailatul qadr) is that people seem to gather in the masjids in large numbers on the 27th night of ramadan and stay up all night. I mean its not certain that lailatul qadr is on the 27th. I see a lot of women young/old with children staying the whole night at the masjids. Furthermore, aunties were discussing how these women seem to think its an occasion to show off new clothing/jewelery, lol even household utensils like pots/pans are being dragged to the masjids for making tea/soups etc on the 27th night. Apparantely, they put up quiet (sp) a show!
